Calling All Local Artists, Designers, & Builders!

Updated: 2 days ago

The Corazón de Trinidad Creative District was awarded a $5,000 Colorado Cares grant from Colorado Creative Industries to help furnish our new offices and a portion of the multi-use spaces in the Commons on Main Street in downtown Trinidad.

Our goal is to commission local artists, designers, builders, artisans, and others to design and produce tables (conference and other sizes), desks, storage units, and additional items needed for the Commons in Space to Create on Main Street in downtown Trinidad. We want to provide work for our creative workforce and keep the cycle of funding in our community and local region.

There are some salvaged pieces available from interior demolition of the buildings, and we encourage the use of those and other up-cycled materials that you might have personal access to. The Commons is to be a “space to create” and we want it to reflect that creativity. All items must be completed and delivered by October 1, 2020.

How to Apply

Contact the Corazon de Trinidad Creative District for more details and to express your interest in taking part in this project. You will be asked to provide a letter of interest, a minimum of three images of examples of your work (jpg format), and a short bio including a statement of your design focus and how you might use recycled materials.

The CD Board of Directors will select those who fit the creativity and quality of work desired for the project. Those selected will work with a board committee to help develop specific dimensions and design elements.

We look forward to hearing from you! Please share with those who might be interested.
