Local artist Lucky Murphy continues his pancake breakfast fundraisers for Creative non-profits.
When the Governor talks about a community that demonstrates readiness for the Space to Create project, one example is evidence of a community working to support each other. Lucky Murphy continually shows us all how that happens. Gathering a team of volunteers and garnering the support of the several galleries that comprise The Art Plaza at 139 E. Main Street, Lucky cooked gigantic blueberry pancakes with all the fixings for a steady flow of generous Trinidadians one morning in August. All proceeds went to SCRT in support of live theater performance and theater education.
In addition to a delicious meal, diners had the opportunity to pick up artwork for any donation of $10, $20, or $30. Choose your favorite, choose your price, walk out with a full tummy and a lovely new piece of art for your home or office. What a deal, and everyone benefited.
SCRT is one of several local entities to receive Lucky’s brand of support.
