The Space to Create initiative moves forward in Trinidad.
It all began on this sunny day in Loveland, CO when Governor Hickenlooper, center and surrounded by representatives of Trinidad, announced that Trinidad would be the first Space to Create project in the state, starting a 9 year series of similar projects throughout the state. Immediately, City Director of Special Projects Tara Marshall started conducting bi-weekly open meetings of citizens to disseminate information and marshal local support for the exciting new era just beginning. Although the exact location of the proposed redevelopment project has not yet been announced, the investment partners are bringing everything into alignment. As one government official shared with local organizers, “get ready; once this process is in full swing, things will be happening very, very fast.” According to the Governor, Trinidad was chosen because of a demonstrated readiness for this type of creative and innovative approach to downtown revitalization.
