Dana Crawford, one of many developers and investors interested in Trinidad’s potential for smart growth, has, in her own words, “fallen in love with Trinidad.” Unlike many who breeze through our town, Ms Crawford comes back and takes action. Locally she is pursuing the purchase and re-development of some of Trinidad’s architectural jewels, is partnering with other investors as a consultant on many other restoration projects, has been promoting her vision of Club 190 for residents of both Denver and Santa Fe (who happen to live 190 miles from Trinidad) who come to Trinidad by the busload to experience, firsthand, Trinidad treasures. Crawford is a strong advocate for the Space to Create project and has become quite vocal locally and in Denver in promoting this new economic development initiative.
Dana Crawford is an award winning preservationist and developer from Denver. Her most recent project was the $54 million redevelopment of Union Station in Denver. Recently Ms Crawford spoke to City Council in support of Space to Create Trinidad and following up on the City’s request for support of the Historic Preservation Ordinance.
